New Website!

Welcome to our new blog!
Here, we’ll keep you updated on all important news from the Pfotenclub — events, announcements, and more.
But first, let’s talk about our new website! :3

We wanted a landpage that reflects what Pfotenclub does and who we are. So we’ve started first with a simple carrd.co page and a custom domain.
Even though it looked okay-ish, we thought “Okay. We are furries and let’s be honest? Most furries work somewhere tech-related. So why not build a custom website?”
And that’s how we ended up here!

It was important to us that the website is easy to maintain and update since Pfotenclub is only run by volunteers. Technically we arent’t even a club but more of a group of friends who want to do something together. Which is also why we don’t have a lot of resources to maintain a complex website. So we went with Astro, which is a static site generator that allows us to write our content in Markdown and easily create new blog posts without needing to worry about the technical details.

Also since we don’t have a corporate identiy, we created the website with a more simple and clean design, maybe that’ll change in the future! We hope you like the new website and that it will be a great place for us to share our news and updates with you! If you’d like to contribute or have any suggestions, feel free to reach out to us!
